Grounded 2 and Bounty Star Join Game Pass Premium
Xbox Game Pass Premium members are doing very well for August as another two games have entered its library following Date Everything! which joined all tiers earlier today. As of August 11, Grounded 2 and Bounty Star are also both available on Xbox Game Pass Premium adding two very different experiences to the service.
Bounty Star has plenty of merits on its own, combining mech combat, customization, farming, and base building as Clem, a former soldier turned bounty hunter, tries to build a new life in the post-apocalyptic American Southwest.
But Grounded 2 is by far the headline for Premium members today. The survival game builds on the award-winning original Grounded, once again shrinking players down to insect size and placing them in a much larger version of the backyard. Players can explore, build bases, craft equipment, fight dangerous creatures, and work together in co-op while uncovering the mysteries hidden around Brookhollow Park.
The timing of its Game Pass Premium addition also makes it very exciting. August 11 marks the launch of Into the Abyss, Grounded 2’s major summer update which officially opens the pond for exploration. The update lets players venture both above and below the water, with new areas, progression, challenges, creatures, and mysteries to discover. It also introduces the Toe-biter, an amphibious Buggy that can travel across both land and water.
So with this addition, not only are Premium members getting the game through their subscription, but they can also experience it with the latest major content expansion available from day one of their playthrough.
After today, another award-winning game is entering Game Pass Premium tomorrow with Ball x Pitt. As it stands, only four titles are left in the wave 1 lineup for August 2026 before wave 2 kicks in.
Grounded 2 builds on the award-winning survival experience of Grounded, shrinking players down once again and dropping them into a much larger world where the familiar park becomes a dangerous frontier. Players can explore overgrown spaces, uncover hidden secrets, build bases, fight creatures, and choose different archetypes to suit their playstyle, either alone or with friends in co-op.
A major new addition is the introduction of buggies, allowing players to hatch, raise, and ride insect companions that can help with combat and resource gathering. The park also brings tougher threats such as AXL the tarantula, the Lizard, snakes, and the bird, while the new Playgrounds feature lets players create and share their own challenges. Alongside all of this is a darker mystery surrounding a persistent threat that follows the players as they uncover more about what is hiding beneath the park.
Bounty Star mixes third-person mech combat with farming, crafting, and base building in a post-post-apocalyptic version of the American Southwest. Players take on the role of Clem, a battle-worn ex-soldier and skilled mech pilot trying to leave her past behind while becoming a force for good in the Red Expanse. At the center of the action is the Desert Raptor MKII, a customizable mech that can be equipped with heavy melee weapons, steam-powered siege tools, explosive firearms, shields, thrusters, and other upgrades.
Between bounty hunts against criminals and dangerous creatures, Clem can return to her run-down homestead to restore its water and power, grow food, make ammunition and fuel, cook meals, and raise animals, gradually turning the neglected garage into a working home and base of operations.
